Terms
Using this site, and how the work is arranged.
These cover the website itself. The terms of any actual engagement are agreed in writing before anything runs. Last updated 7 October 2026.
This website
The content here is provided for information. It describes what OwnerDeck does and what it charges, and it is kept accurate to the best of our knowledge, but it does not constitute an offer, and nothing on this site creates a contract on its own.
Pricing shown here
The published plan prices are current at the date above. No VAT is added: OwnerDeck isn't VAT-registered. If OwnerDeck becomes VAT-registered, VAT will be added at the applicable rate from the registration date, with at least 30 days' written notice.
The prices cover what is described on the automations and pricing page. Work outside that, including any automation not on the menu, is quoted separately and agreed before it starts. Prices may change for new clients; a price already agreed with a client does not change during the engagement.
What is agreed before anything runs
- Which automations, on which plan, at what price.
- The access needed to your accounts, and nothing beyond it.
- The settings each automation starts with. Every one starts on Ask me first.
- A data processing agreement, signed by both sides.
How it is paid
The setup fee is split in two: 50% when the plan is agreed in writing, and the remaining 50% when the automations go live. The monthly fee begins on go-live, is paid by card, and is not charged during setup. A year paid up front is charged as 10 months.
Every plan includes one band: up to 1,500 emails and 300 documents a month. If your use goes over either number on a 3-month average, another band is added at €100 a month, agreed with you before it applies.
Messages sent for you
Every message an automation sends follows your settings: the mode you chose, your house rules and templates, and, on Ask me first, your approval. Those messages are your business’s own communications, sent on your behalf.
Your data
Running these automations means handling your customers’ personal data on your behalf. That is done under a written data processing agreement, as Article 28 of the GDPR requires, signed before anything runs, and the data is used only to do the work you asked for.
What data. The emails, attachments, invoices, receipts, orders and forms that the automations you choose are set up to handle; the names, contact details and amounts owed they contain; your settings; and a log of every action taken.
Where it is. It stays in your own accounts. Copies pass through the server the automations run on while they run, and that server keeps the action log and the record of each run. Run records are kept for no more than 30 days.
Every service that touches it:
- Hetzner (Germany): Runs the automations (on n8n, on a server OwnerDeck operates), and keeps the action log and the record of each run.
- Anthropic (Claude) (United States): Reads emails and documents and drafts text, while an automation runs. Under Anthropic's commercial terms it may not train its models on this data. Transfers to the US are covered by the EU standard contractual clauses in its data processing addendum.
- Your own email, invoicing and file storage providers (Wherever your accounts are held): Hold your data, in your name. The automations work inside them.
- Google Sheets or Notion, whichever we agree (Set by that provider): Holds your settings: modes, house rules, templates and schedule.
- WhatsApp (Meta) (Set by that provider): Carries the Monday briefing and changes by message, only if you opt in.
- Stripe (Set by that provider): Takes your monthly payment by card. It sees your billing details, not your customers' data.
Changes and breaches. You get notice before any new service touches your data. If your data is ever involved in a breach, you are told without undue delay.
After you leave. 30 days after you leave and have received your export, everything we hold about your business is deleted: your settings, the action log and the record of each run. Your own accounts are not touched.
Your access, your call
You can revoke our access to any of your accounts at any time. The automations that rely on that access stop when it is removed.
Limits we keep
- The automations never delete anything. Emails are labelled and archived, never removed.
- It never moves money and never changes bank details.
- Anything it is unsure about comes to you first, even on Autopilot.
- Every action is logged, so “why did it send that?” has an answer in a minute.
- OwnerDeck Autopilot never acts outside the access and settings you have given it.
Fixes
Fixes are made by the next working day, on every plan. Nothing is promised instantly. A fix means putting an automation in your plan back to working as agreed.
Ownership
Your email, your invoicing tool, your files and your customer data are yours and stay in your name. We are given access to run the automations; ownership does not change.
Ending the arrangement
One month’s written notice, from either side, on any plan. There is no minimum term beyond that notice period and no exit fee.
If you leave, you get your data, your settings and a copy of your workflow files to run yourself, free. OwnerDeck keeps the right to reuse the same automations for other clients. To run the workflow files yourself you need your own installation of n8n, the engine they are built on, under its own licence.
Access we were given is handed back or removed on the final day. Anything already paid for a period that has been served is not refundable.
Ending a year paid up front. You get back what you paid, minus the full monthly price for every month started, and never less than nothing. For example, Office paid for a year costs €2,990. Leaving with 4 months started returns €2,990 minus 4 × €299, which is €1,794. With 10 or more months started, nothing is returned.
What the monthly covers
Running the automations in your plan, keeping them working, the Monday briefing, and changes to their settings. New automations are add-ons, priced on the automations page and agreed before they are built. It does not cover fees that a tool of your choosing charges.
Third-party services
The automations depend on services run by other companies, listed under Your data. An automation can only work to the extent that provider allows, and their availability and policy changes are outside our control. What is and is not possible with your tools is established in the audit, before anything is quoted.
Liability
We take reasonable care in setting up and running these automations. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Otherwise, liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement in the twelve months before the claim.
